Our History

Joan Hutton, President/CEO and founder of The Hutton Group, Inc. had a vision. After a career in nursing education and administration, Joan was recruited to build a division for the healthcare placement firm that had assisted her in building her career. The company wanted to grow and saw a need for a segment of their business devoted to professionals that were not nursing or C-suite leaders. Joan created this division and after 11+ years had the opportunity to relocate to Florida, her lifelong dream.

Joan moved to Vero Beach, Florida early 1991 with a business plan to create a national healthcare leadership placement firm comprised of former healthcare executives and consultants who had actually worked in the areas they would service.

She started with one consultant and an administrative assistant and 25+ years later has grown the company to a group of six plus one indispensable typist and resume ‘artist’. The group all works virtually with consultants in Vero Beach, Sarasota and The Villages, Florida as well as Boston, MA and Houston, TX. Each consultant is a seasoned leader from a variety of backgrounds including finance, revenue management, compliance, quality and risk management, nursing, administration, consulting and information management, data analytics and cyber security.

Besides working with all types of healthcare clients nationally, The Hutton Group, Inc. has partnered with firms that serve overseas’ clients in Dubai, Qatar, Turkey, Poland, the Bahamas and the US Virgin Islands.
