REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

REPORTS TO: Director Human Resources

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Designs, implements, and evaluates clinical and non-clinical orientation programs and continuous learning programs for all classifications of staff in partnership with the department leadership teams.

• Partners with human resources, clinical educators/preceptors, and department leaders to develop consistent organization-wide standards for education and professional development
• Develops, implements, and oversees an educational plan that will evaluate achievement of learning goals and functions in acknowledgement of adult learning principles
• Enhances the new hire onboarding experience by assisting with new hire training and establishing best practices/standards to assist leaders in developing department-specific orientation programs
• Manages a system to make sure all training is properly tracked and documented.
• Manages e-learning/LMS system and provides education to managers and educators on the system to allow them to independently manage compliance or development of content.
• Promotes the clinical simulation program by assisting in content development and running simulation training exercises.
• Demonstrates a high level of clinical/nursing competency and expertise.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

    • BSN required. Master’s degree in nursing preferred.
    • Must demonstrate current acute care nursing competency
    • Obtain and maintain a State of Colorado RN license. BLS required.
    • Experience in a Professional Development/educational role strongly preferred.
